This cartoon character from back in the day when shows didn't have much depth or context, well he had an arch enemy named Bludo.
I actually read some Popeye books when I was a kid, as well as watching the show. Bludo. HIS NAME WAS BLUDO.
Now Google Bludo and you get this:
instead of 
Evidently, he's always been named BLUTO.
