I was in Walmart a week ago. I was looking at their headphones and I decided to get some "beats by doctor dre."
The girl who helped me was nice. I passingly noted that "didn't these used to be called beats by dre?"
She told me that yes they were until Apple bought out the company and now they're called beats by doctor dre.
I thought to myself "aaah! this one is explainable!"
So I went home and did researched. No. They've always been beats by dr. dre. The named changed yes. But is it explainable? No. Not at all.
At least she's halfway there I guess? "You know. The world changed, the geography and dimensions changed. Our bodies changed. But that was just an upgrade. By Apple."
