Okay some people have obviously screwed up memories and remember Rod Serling as Rod Sterling. I don't know about this one.
BUT - using algorithms and mathematical brilliance I have been able to work this out.
For some of us. The fact that when I was a kid and watching The Twilight Zone I never automatically connected the word "surly" with "Serling" which is just something that I would have done. He would have ceased to be the host of a TV show and become a really nasty person.
But I never connected this word with his name. Again, something I'd have done.
In fact instead of thinking of silver when I hear his name now, I think of a really nasty person and that helps my spelling. Long ago I connected this guy with the metal - just a little memory trick that worked for me. Does the fact that this man used to be metallic instead of pissed matter within the human psyche?
Ya, I believe it does.
"My name is Rod. And that's all that matters."
